I went through it last January – took 3 weeks to get rid of a stone the size of a Rice Krispie. Took 3 trips to Emergency (well, I guess "Urgent Care") at a hospital here in Ottawa. I don't know if it was just TIME that did the trick, or the fact that the last doctor I saw there prescribed a drug that is ususally given to MEN to help them empty their bladder (I am female). Straining one's pee is not fun but one does feel triumphant when the little bugger finally makes an appearance. I hope your husband is feeling better very soon.
