She was in her carseat carrier and my diaper bag on my shoulder. I don't remember being stressed but it sounds like this woman went looking for a table and realized how far down she had to go and gave up. Probably a bad day. Poop happens. We should all deal.C.J. Have you tried to move between cars with those heavy doors when the train is moving? I can barely get those doors open myself (admittedly I'm not a huge person)! Now do it with a wiggly baby and all your bags? It's not fair to expect that of her. And it's not fair to expect the baby to sit in poop for the length of the train ride.

I know kids that would be rashed up for a month (bleeding rashes too) if they sat in poop that long. You do what you have to do - but EVERY washroom in a GO car should have a change station. They hook to the wall and just open up. It's not like they take up room.

If airplanes can fit them in their miniscule washrooms, GO has no excuse.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13901927036608337781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6441168213084499367.post-51911217167306624142015-01-29T08:59:22.832-05:002015-01-29T08:59:22.832-05:00The area where I pulled over was deep and inset wi...The area where I pulled over was deep and inset with grass. I was way off the highway, as far as I could go. I also wasn't familiar with the area at the time and it seemed like forever for an exit, although later I saw that if I had driven another four kilometres, I would have come to it. I can't remember where I was exactly, but I was on a stretch of the highway towards Brantford. I pulled over for no different than anyone would for any kind of delicate situation and legally, according to the HTA, I could do so. People barf. Tires blow. Cars break down and we're all expected to pull over to the right shoulder.
I'm not stupid. I exercised as much caution as I could and I was anxious at how much poop was coming out of my child and her screams.
This woman's issue was more that I changed my daughter on the hood of the car in the cold -- not so much that I was on the side of the highway. I also had to rip the padding off the car seat and throw it in the trunk. It was a bad day all around. This woman only made it worse. C.J. Especially if the other lady was able to take an exit and come back to criticize you. The side of the highway is an EXTREMELY dangerous place to be stopped.

If I was bringing my kid on the train, I'd probably sit in the accessibility coach in anticipation of having to change a diaper at some point.LCnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6441168213084499367.post-44829788518797231852015-01-28T22:19:32.657-05:002015-01-28T22:19:32.657-05:00Well now that I've heard what the rational sob...Well now that I've heard what the rational sober folks had to say and ignored the maniac trolls, here's my 3 cents.
Yep, I've been in her shoes and I walked to the accessibility car and took care of things but life doesn't always hand us roses, sometimes it hands us steaming shit where we need to pull over on the right side median of the 403 and change and clean a baby on the hood of a car in the dead of winter because I couldn't take the smell anymore, and driving with the windows down wasn't an option. I did it fast and quick but still one lady actually went out of her way to get off at an exit and come all the way back to pull up behind me threatening to call Children's Aid. I was shaking so bad after that incident and still feel to this day that was way over the top.
You can plan to the nth degree to manage a child but it's hard to manage poop.C.J.
