Obviously this creates a parking problem. This resident is way overly dramatic because parking isn't such a big deal in this area at all... as soon as they started talking about rob ford and Donald trump I think their opinion should have been disregarded because either were/are far from being popular with people who are not idiots. The residents quoted in this article are ignorant to that issue. I want to park on their Street about as much they want me there. We used to park in a public space but since the town has restricted parking there we are on the street. The current state of things is pretty nuts. The newest surface lot is so far west it's literally in Whitby, but the only access to the train is walking all the way around it from the east end (heaven forbid they put in tunnels or bridges so that there are multiple access points to the train like every other damn station!) So if you ride in the west end of the train, you've got a 1.25km walk from car to train. Even at a brisk 5km/h pace, that's a 15 minute walk! I like my exercise but I would sure like those extra 15 minutes to sleep in the morning.Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18160376382277488872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6441168213084499367.post-70082153324527463632016-04-15T13:01:17.971-04:002016-04-15T13:01:17.971-04:00They should just tow the offending vehicles. After 10 years, things have just gotten worse.

For starters, GO train commuters should not be street parking. Especially if lots and garages are provided.

3 hour parking is an easy thing for the city to do. Plus, if it is enforced, then think of the revenue. I don't see what the big deal is - put a 3 hour parking limit sign up for 9-5 and problem solved (you won't find a residential street in Toronto that doesn't have the same restriction).
