A hot walk to Union ...

The lady in the blue SWEATER also had a wool turtleneck under her sweater. She walked down Bay Street from Adelaide. I was behind her.
She made me feel hot. Very hot. This was yesterday. It was 32C at the time.

Maybe she one of those people who even on the summer is cold. I work with someone like that. Her heater under her desk is on all the time. I feel like a melting snowman.

I know someone who keeps a heating pad, a blanket and fingerless gloves at work and uses them in the summer. But, they are also dressed for the weather outside (within the bounds of business casual) and not for the air conditioned office.

If I were to stereotype, I betcha she is related to one of those Americans who show up at the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia with skis strapped onto the roof of the car in August.

We've got someone like that in our department too Dakota. Is always wrapped up to stay warm. I put it down to her being frigid!!!

I keep fingerless gloves in my desk year round... some days the A/C is so cold, I have to use them. But I'm dressed for the temps outside.

Back when I went to a high school with uniforms, we always had to wear our sweaters/cardigans, even on the hottest summer days. Kind of silly, but the logic was the entire building was air-conditioned to a cooler temperature, so we had to stay "in uniform" no matter how hot it was outside.

@lswgirl13 - the girl in my office is the same. I like how you said it.

I'm sorry. She was walking towards the GO Teamway, like me, so yes, it's about the GO Train.

It was funny the first time you wrote that. Now it's just getting kind of sad, pathetic, really.

There is never any reason to have the A/C below 20C. It's just a waste of energy, and people start putting on layers then anyway.

Maybe, it's was her laundry night that night and that's what was left in her closet to wear that day... who knows... its just seems as insane as the weather out there... hope everyone is keeping cool regardless of how many layers, e

A turtleneck and a sweater!?

Turtleneck, sure. The sweater calls for a doctor visit.

High blood pressure and/or an underactive thyroid can make you feel the heat too much. Low blood pressure and/or an overactive thyroid can leave you never feeling the heat. Or... maybe she just really likes that outfit. :)
