Metrolinx has finally answered the question that has confounded transit watchers since Mayor John Tory campaigned on his $8-billion signature transit plan.

A modified RER service seems inevitable. You can't plan any transit scheme in isolation (unless your name's John Tory). Tory promised SmartTrack rolled out in 7 years. 6 months in and it doesn't even exist. Not a great start.
