Sm--, er, Sex on the train

I downloaded said book (porn for soccer moms) in question to my tablet and found it incredibly difficult to read it on the train considering its content.

I shrunk the text down to the smallest size possible without causing myself to go blind and I still felt uncomfortable reading the book, so I admire the women who just outright read it, not caring who sees the text or not.

But this woman across from me last night? She looked so embarrassed, that she was reading the book sideways.

My wife had me read it.
I lost count how many orgasms the female character had because I was going blind from the unrealistic shit this was.

I read all three books (not the e-version) from the trilogy on train. It is just a book. I do not worry about what other people are thinking. I appluade anyone who reads these books on the train.

Oh man, I found a few paragraphs cringe-worthy. It's hard to bend a tablet or e-book in half.
I also had the unfortunate experience of my daughter reading from this book when she took my tablet - out loud - in the kitchen. Thankfully it was the helicopter scene and she only managed a few paragraphs before I leaped over the kitchen table and snatched it from her.

Fred,
I am sure that there are women and men who can, er, do all that as described and within that measure.

I didn't find the book shitty. My husband called it smutty as I did read a lot of paragraphs out loud to him. I just found it really, really different.

Do you know the origin of this book. It was originally Twilight Fan fiction.

Um ... ok... I didn't really *do* the Twilight thing. But this would be a little too much for the tween crowd?!

I downloaded the book because I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

I bought this trilogy but haven't had a chance to read it yet, my FIL gave me another smut set to read which I am currently trying to finish. I don't care if people see I'm reading a sexy-time book, they should be embarrassed they're bored enough to read over someone's shoulder (I find people watching me play Angry Birds so intently more creepy than a sexy-time book). Besides, it can't be worse than the placenta conversation I was "lucky" enough to hear last week on the ride home...UGH.

Anyways, the point of this post is that I hope the trilogy isn't anti-climactic (see what I did there haha) after all the hype it's gotten.

cj, if you can't relate to this book then your husband is doing something right LOL (wink)!

Lol!! She's just drawing more attention to herself reading it like that! I have it on my ereader. I don't care if someone reads it over my shoulder.
And I agree. I only wish I could have as many unrealistic orgasms as Anna does ! Haha! It is total smut porn and nothing to do with Twilight. However the authors of both books are equally terrible.

I used to bring the Anita Blake books on the train, but stopped for the same reason.

I've heard about this book/series and I've also heard it's poorly written. It does remind me though of years ago when every female on the train was reading Danielle Steele. Myself, I was reading Jackie Collins and I would hide it inside a magazine, hurry home for either hubby or a cold shower. I'm guessing Fifty Shades is much smutty'er though. Probably some good pointers though!

DF said...

Lswgirl: fifty shades probably puts some stories in Platboy to shame. Well some of the sex scenes. Also the book is about 75% sex scenes lol.
And the author needs to come up with another adjective besides "hot".... So annoying

I hear it's a lot of bondage, etc. DF. Hey, obviously "mommy porn" sells. I'd find it hard to read on the train, I'd no doubt be blushing and getting a little flustered.

"Platboy"? Does that feature woman with long braided hair? (And if so, where can I get it?)

I'm thinking this would make a great business model if someone wanted to push a cart and become the GO Train Librarian.
I'll take the high road and buy shares in Google for their Google upcoming VR Goggles since this material will surly find its way onto these 3D glasses.

Meh. This is a little too main stream to be embarrassed about. Besides, if you can't read it in public, how are you going to watch the movie? Rumor has it that Hollywood (and not a porn company) wants to release it. And guess who the two leads could be?

That's right! Angsty McBiteHerLip and Sparkles! The Twihards will love it!

I downloaded this ebook last night for free after reading the comments here... started reading on the go train this morning but haven't got to any sexy bits yet.. and anyway with an ereader no one can really see what I'm reading..

hahahaha . . . go on ExGOnowTTC! Does it involve pizza delivery?

C.J. Smith said...

... Or the new chick who has moved into the apartment next door? Whose ass was poured so tight into her cut-off jeans it could have been a baseball glove? But we all know which balls we want it to catch?

That kind?

I read a bit of it and was surprised at how poorly written it was. Then I was surprised that I was surprised.
