I had breakfast this morning. Okay, now, before you clap, understand that to be fair to everyone, I had a buffet. In the car.

I ate:

1 Cheese String
1/4 Cup Almonds
1/4 Cup Granola
1 Danone Yogurt
1 Danone Cottage Cheese
1 Poptart
1 Slice of Smoked Chicken Breast
1 Juice Box of Orange Juice
1 Small, Roasted Pheasant, with gravy ... and potatoes - mashed.
1 Boiled Egg
1/4 Pound Grapes
1 Slice of Toast w/Peanut Butter
1 Breakfast Bar

I couldn't make it to the strawberry smoothie.

I guess I should have spread it out more.

I miss the non-frosted Pop Tarts.

Oh you disgusting PopTart people!! I bet you feed your kids fruit loops for breakfast and wonder why they're fat and hyper. One smores poptart has 21grams of sugar!! You could eat 3 cups of honey nut cheerios for that

Seriously Anon... your rant about poptarts is getting a little old. And why pick on that and not the pheasant and mashed potatoes. Those aren't that great for you, especially with gravy.

mmmm.... gravy. good for all meals.

LOL ...

Guys, hate to break it to ya, this was a joke.

Just to calm Anon down, I, personally haven't eaten a PopTart in more than 10 years although I do eyeball a box from time to time. As far as I know, my kid (who is 6) has never tasted a PopTart.

But, if I ate a PopTart, I don't think it would be the end of the world.

Holy people, yes I realize it was a joke. While I wouldn't be that surprised if someone scarfed all that down on the train ride in, I was aware CJ was just being funny.

There really is a need for a sarcasm font.

So I'm the PopTart girl and yes, I let my son eat Froot Loops (he is neither fat, nor hyper) but we also have the Seinfeld cupboard of cereal which includes Rice Krispies, Shredded Wheat, Raisin Bran as well as Lucky Charms and Count Chocula!!! As for PopTarts, I only like raspberry and when I go to the U.S. I bring back a supply of cherry.
C.J. - you have a 6 year old that has never tasted a PopTart??? I think that borders on child abuse! haha
FYI people - there is now a PopTart World in Times Square so I know where I'm going next trip to NYC!!!

I have a sudden craving for Raisin Bran. Make all the jokes you want, that stuff is delicious.

Pop tarts can't even be considered food. That goes for most things that come out of a box.

right on Kary!

and feeding your kid pop tarts and sugary cereals on a regular basis could be considered child abuse in some people's eyes. no wink there. Seriously, processed crap like that causes diabetes, cancer and a host of other bad things. It's just plain bad for you. I dont care if have the Seinfeld cupboard or not.
Personally I dont eat garbage out of a box. but hey I also dont have kids, so wtf do I know right? ;) said...

No, J. has never eaten a PopTart. At least, not in my presence.

And what I get out of all of that is...There's a Smores Pop Tart??!!

Can someone explain how eating something with sugar but no fat will cuase you to become fat?

Jen said...

@GoTransitBitch: yes. Graham cracker shell with choclate and marshmellow fluff inside. Yummy. Love mine uncooked.

@TomW: Sugar is a simple carbohydrate. This means that it is processed in the body and stored in the fat cells for future use in a famine.
