Comatose

Yeah, so a big thank you to the donkeys yesterday afternoon on the 3:13 Union-Oshawa for waking me up from my coma as we pulled into Oshawa.

The train was packed. Most of you were heading to the 'Shwa, I'm sure of it.

I rarely fall asleep on the train but I've had a tough four days being sick and haven't been sleeping well. I admit I was exhausted. I managed to wake up on my own when the CSA yelled that it was 5 minutes to departure on what was now a westbound train back to Union Station.

Not a single person poked me awake. I'm sure of it. I was mad as all hell, because I always make it a point to wake people up.

Y'all suck. Y'all lazy and all your space ARE BELONG TO ME!

I should have set the alarm on my Blackberry but I don't even remember drifting off. I don't *plan" to sleep.

I'm over it now.

I think.

You really can't blame someone fro not waking you up at your stop in say Ajax or Pickering since I can't be sure it is your stop but at and end of the line like Shwa, I don't see how they could let you keep sleeping, I mean at that point you have either slept past you stop of pickering, ajax or whitby or you have reached your destination.

I once slept past whitby and woke up in oshawa.

That's true. At the end of the line, it is a different story. I'm not expecting anyone to babysit me. I just wanted to vent.

I would have drawn a moustache on you with a Sharpie :p

Oh I was agreeing with you Cj, somebody should have jostled you,

Perhaps you looked so peaceful they felt disturbing you would have been a crime.

But probably just lazy, couldnt be bothered, donkeys.

At least you woke up before heading back. I once got trapped when the train used to end Whitby. The doors went on standby and there was no way out. I was banging on a window and a worker passed by and popped open the door for me. He says: "There's one on every train." Worst part was, I wasn't sleeping. I was just really into my book. *sigh*

I rode the train all the way back to the yard one night. Had to do the walk of shame... That was 2 years ago. Fell asleep on the 11:13 to Oshawa, woke up back at Union and I was so disoriented. I couldn't tell where I was.

What is wrong with you people? Are none of you from OSHAWA? Maybe you moved here from 'Scarberia'? That nickname is as denigrating as the one that language donkeys use for OSHAWA. They are seldom people who have lived her all their lives. Oh, and you grand people from Whitby might be interested to know that at one time, when our parents had had all they could take, would cry 'you are going to drive me to Whitby'. Clean up your language, donkeys, are you too stupid to even know what city you are in? IT IS OSHAWA!!!

What? Whoah there little pony ...

Geeze, get a grip. I lived in Oshawa for 5 years. Love the nickname! Grew up in T.O., loved all of its nicknames too. Whitby used to be Shitby when I was a kid as we had cousins who lived at Bell and 2. Knew lots of people in Oshawa who made fun of the the town - but I drew the line at calling it the "armpit of Ontario". My God, who doesn't make fun of their hometown? Doesn't mean they're stupid or a donkey. I now live in Courtice or as my 6 year old calls it, "Tortoise". Kind of fitting, life is pretty slooooooowwwww.

Hamilton is actually the armpit of ontario,

If you look at a map you can make out an elephant, Detroit/windsor make up the trunk, sarnia is the head bruce peninsula the tail, barrie is a foot oshawa another foot, hamilton is a foot, the other one is lost somewhere and Hamilton is the armpit. :)

I'm with Al, Hamilton is definitely the armpit (not only of Ontario but I think there is a good chance maybe all of Canada) but the 'Shwa is pretty darm close. Please note I am basing this opinion solely on the downtown areas! Both cities have their nice areas and good points but both downtowns are downright scummy. And this people is exactly why the NHL is NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, coming to Hamilton. Ohhhhh, here come the haters!

**spellcheck** I meant "darn" not "darm"!
