What was she thinking?

Submitted by Jason O.

I got on at Stouffville this morning along with a lady carrying an umbrella. She put her sopping wet umbrella on the seat beside her where it drained itself into the fabric. Then, once she was setttled, she put her wet feet up on the seat in front of her.

A few minutes later, she moved her umbrella to the floor and this man climbed on and walked towards the seat beside her. Incredibly, she made no attempt to tell him the seat is soaked and before he sits, I spoke up and said she had her wet umbrella on the seat and that I'm sure it's wet.

Sure enough, he puts his hand down and it's soaked. He looks at the woman and asks her, "Why would you do that?" She says it was an accident. I said, "I don't think so. Was putting your wet feet up on the seat an accident, too?" She got all pissy and started gathering her bags and said she would go sit somewhere else where people mind their business.

Honest to God. Who are these people? I should have hoofed her in the ass when she stormed past me. Made it look like I had a cramp.

Bravo! Gold stars for speaking up and sparing someone from sitting in the mess she caused.

I ride the Stouffville line, and I notice that people are a lot less considerate of others than Richmond Hill and Barrie (two lines I frequently took in the past).

Good job on speaking up. Wish I could've seen that.

I swear a good chunk of riders were brought up in a barn. I know someone who prefers the aisle seat, sat down and was asked to "slide over" when someone else came along. When he said no, the f**ktard told him the seats are all the same and then walked off in a huff!

Good for you jason O,

Its about time that people realize that bad and inconsiderate behaviour is not okay.

Could you imagine a world where people cared about everyone as much as they care about themselves.... OH... I see the problem here - people don't care about themselves... that's the root of the problem, silly me.

But seriously could you imagine... the world would be such a happier place... we can only dream!

... and Jason, with you here, our world is one dream closer... thank you.

people who tell you to "mind your own business" are the same people who cannot defend themselves and know that they are in the wrong. WIN!
