Like a boss!

A guy just got on the LSW Go train, unfolded a wooden lawn chair and sat down on it. /cc

Gotta admire his preparedness. Must have been a boy scout.

While I admire his self-sufficiency, I wouldn't want to be nearby should the train suddenly brake hard.

I also wonder where he would have set up shop if that coach had the sideways two-seaters next to the doors (like most do).

Building on Shirker's train of thought, if there was a sudden stop and he flew off his seat and injured himself - would he try to sue GO Transit?

Things that make you go hmmmm....

Didn't we have this discussion when I pointed all this out about the people who sit on the stairs?

Yes, but CJ, stairs are fixed and not movable... this clown brought his own seat. What if in the process the chair flew and injured someone else?

Howard Bigford would make a killing in consulting fees on all of this. ;o)

There's nothing wrong with this.

What if, what if...far more likely that luggage, bags or purses from one of the many people on the train with them would go flying and injure someone rather than a small fold-up chair. The case could be made for it obstructing doorways or aisles though, which is probably a concern to GO.

It makes GO seem like a 3rd world transportation system, where people have to bring their own chairs to sit.

The GO system is ridiculous in Toronto! Not enough train that run on Diesel...it takes just as much energy to stop the monster as is to get it going! Electrically driven trains are more efficient and achieve much great speeds with out the crazy stops and starts....and how many signal problems and slippery tracks can the system get! If ya can't get a seat and ya need to rely on dinasour transit system, well ya should be comfortable doing it!
