This blogger writes about trains ... and he's only 7

When (Dana) Bookman realized just how passionate her son (Nathan) was about trains, she suggested Nathan start a blog so he could document what he learned and called CP Rail to tell them about his blog.

Nathan and his mom sent the railway a letter outlining all the things he wanted to learn about the railway and include on his blog. They also asked if he could hang out with the folks at CP Rail once a month in exchange for writing about his experiences.

The company was thrilled with the idea.

CP Rail's response doesn't surprise me too much - many people working in the rail industry are railfans...

Hey CJ,

Do you think this is a PR stunt?

No. Why do you think it is?

Mainly because he loves CP so much. He has a share too. What is the point of that?

"Nathan is a 7 year-old boy who loves ALL trains. Especially freight trains. And especially CP Rail.
This is a blog about his journey to discover more about the trains he loves."

Do people usually write the "About" part of their blog in third person?

I'm just curious as I'm not familiar with CP or blogging. Also I don't have kids yet, so I'm not sure of their mental capacity at that age. It's edited quite well considering it's all about trains. I guess he's a kid genius who can limit his blogging to trains/CP only. I wasn't that focused when I was 7.

His mother admitted she helps him. But I have to agree with you, the about part should be written by him and from him. Thanks for pointing me to that.
