Will Metrolinx be holding a gala for the Bay Concourse closure?

I sure hope so.

I'd like to build my own little shrine to the world's largest public washroom and am looking for your help.

Please send in any photos you have, pieces of the escalator you stole when they were ripped out in 2007-8'ish after this incident in 2006...

... Or other mementos you think would look great stuck to my 1986 era Science Project bristol board.

The shrine would then be displayed at a location of my choosing until security kicks me out.

Don't come all rushing at me at once, here.

I remember when this accident happened. Can't believe it's been that long.

Don't know if I have any mementos, other than old monthly paper passes.

I'll see if I can find my coaster from Choo-Choo's.

There was a goddamn bar called Choo-Choos?!

Ah Choo-Choo's... Yes. The commuter lounge. Kinda sketchy but the beer was cold. I hope they put a new lounge/bar place in the York concourse when the retail area opens. Will help pass the time when we're delayed for switch/signal issues.

I miss the LCBO that used to be down there. It was so convenient!

(For the record, how did those people NOT know that the cover had to be lifted off the panic button? I'm just trying to imagine a gaggle of people pressing this huge piece of plastic and being like, HOW DO I PRESS THE BUTTON? THIS DAMN FORCEFIELD IS IN THE WAY!)

I remember Choo-Choo's.... yes, very sketchy...but better than having to trek out to Front St. if the train was late or cancelled. And on some nights they had karaoke as "entertainment"....

My big problem with the closing of the Bay concourse is - as I suddenly realized this morning - the imminent loss of the only Cinnabon on my way to work (my regular staff meetings are going to take a huge hit from that, believe me!).

I am amazed how I wasn't far off with the stress about food.

The retailers themselves knew about the closure two years ago and were prepared. I do not know what that means for the employees? Relocation? Packages?

I broke my diet last Thursday and stopped off at Mickey D's. My regular lady (she who knows my order!) said they were closed as of Friday and that the people were being shipped to other locations. That surprised me because I knew there was a location for on in the York Concourse. Guess 4 months isn't long enough to set up the coffee pots.
