A lot of context is missing like, what time was this photo actually taken (was it a rush hour train, if so shame on the biker and if it wasn't no problem), the bike could have been moved forward a bit more to allow access to the two remaining seats, and also just because you have a kid with you doesn't mean you are guaranteed a seat (sometimes you've got to stand, it happens from time to time).

I'm not sure she was wrong. That is where the bikes go. An umbrella strollers could be stored anywhere. Out of decency she could have just gone to another coach, unless they were all full already.

Agreed. Context is everything and a lot is missing from this situation.

What I do not agree with is the assumption that people with strollers deserve first (and maybe only) dibs on seating and space. Especially if they bring the SUV strollers onto public transportation. The Mommy Brigade needs to stop and realise that they are not always right.

It is one of the reasons I have stopped taking the bus. Got tired of being forced aside because of the strollers.

Why do people worry so much about toddlers? They've got legs, and they are perfectly capable of standing especially with mom/dad. And the bike girl hardly "made" them stand, they chose to say nothing so they chose to stand.

The fact that no one asked to sit...
Agree that toddlers can stand (most don't sit still anyway so really, who cares?)
