Can't people smell themselves?

The dude next to me on the 5:53 to Oshawa smells like a hockey bag.
For those who don't know what dry sweaty hockey gear smells like, just imagine 90-day old milk.

It's that awesome!

Seriously, wash your winter jacket!!!

Actually, they can't, after a while.

Also, I read somewhere that the female sense of smell is about four times as acute as the male sense of smell.

That's one way that men benefit from mothers, sisters and wives; many wouldn't let them go out in public like that.

Anyhow, yeah, if someone is smelling up the place, do him a favor and slip him an anonymous note somehow.

Nobody ever talks about these things, except behind backs, which doesn't solve the problem.

I'm pretty good about that.
However, I don't know how effective yelling, "Wash your coat!" was as I was exiting the train and then running away to avoid confrontation.

I once told a co-worker all about the benefits of antiperspirant and the next day got an email from him where he wrote a novel about how much I hurt his feelings. I was the only person in the office who risked telling him but I will say he did start to smell better but also never spoke to me again.

CJ did the right thing. One must ask themself, "Is is better to risk telling the stinky guy he stinks, and have him clean up but never speak to you again, or simply to torture yourself and those around you by not risking hurting one person's feelings and saying nothing?" Best to tell him -it's for the greater good, and who really wants to be hanging out with the stinky guy anyway?
I say, good Call CJ!

an anonymous note in the person's in-box thru inter-office mail is better
