Hi, I'm Wilfred Brimley and I'd like to talk to you about Diabeetus.

Question for you, why are you allowed to publish this man's face who is just sitting there and say something about Oatmeal (I didnt get the connection) and not allowed to publish a man's face who has the potential to be dangerous to other civil commuters? (referring to the story regarding male "Pusher"

Because he isn't doing anything wrong.
His personal safety insn't in danger.

The other post is more of a decision to protect the woman who was pushed which is why it would be ideal not to post the photo. The man sounds unstable and the last thing any of us need is a violent asshole hell bent on exercising revenge on the woman who was pushed and coming physically after me.

Legally, having your picture posted online with an oatmeal reference isn't violating anything, especially when I was really admiring the man's purple shirt and the Wilfred Brimely look a like happen to be in the shot.

No different than any tourist type pic where random people make it into the shot.

They did nothing wrong, why are you posting their picture? The oatmeal reference isn't funny. This is the kind of crap that a bully would do in High School. Why make fun of people for what they look like?

I don't know, it just seems a little creepy to take photos of strangers in public, for no reason other than you like the colour of his shirt (BlackBerry dude) or are impressed with the quality of his metallica inspired facial hair, or the fact that he resembles an actor in a commercial. If that were a photo taken of a couple women with a little cleavage or side boobage showing, people would be all over you for violating their privacy or being creepy.

I never understood why you bother to obstruct faces in some cases, where in others you give a nice clear shot. Who cares about libel.

You best steer clear of Twitter and Instagram. You'd lose your mind.
