I asked the lady at the ticket window in Oshawa this morning how long they were expecting it to take for them to complete the new station house building. She grimaced and said, "18 months". We shall see...

Though not quite the same: there is still no progress at Pickering!

Wondering if we should start betting on expected completion?

^ Highly unlikely. They always start these cap ex projects close to winter so they can blame winter and then a wet spring ... work the summer/fall and then blame winter and then a wet spring so 18 months is spread out over five years.

18 months is probably correct. It's just not all in the same calendar year.

That's how you Metrolinx Math.

SO MUCH TRUTH.

I haven't seen any workers at Burlington in a long time. Yet they are installing a car counting system and repaved the other parking lot. Maybe they have ADD?

And Metrolinx is considering adding a new GO station in Burlington. Maybe they should think about finishing the one under construction first. It's been 3 years already! And still nowhere near done!

It's OK, the Bay concourse will be finished in 2 years. Or 3. Or 5.

Metrolinx Math is a prime example of the clinicalisms of bureaucracy.
Technically "18 months". Count ONLY the months when work is actually done.
