Our local politicians, often the mayor, push pet projects, promoting them ahead of independent study and thought.

They use political pressure to advance said projects to the top of the priority list, even before democratic bodies like city council are given…

Royston is right. We get bribed with our own money because we allow ourselves to. Transit City was affordable and fine. But politics got in the way. Now we are digging holes under Eglinton and funding a subway most Scarberians won't be able reach in under 2 buses.

Sigh.

They'll flip flop five more times on the Scarborough LRT/Subway decision. *sigh*
