I guess I'm a curmudgeon but I still don't think it's OK. Have those slippers touched the dirty floor? Yes. Should they then be placed on a seat? No.
If you look closely, she doesn't have her slippers on the seat...they are on the the plastic peice between the seats

what's so damn hard about keeping feet on the floor? slippers or not I don't get the need for people to act like they are in their living room.
