GO bus...Click, Click, Click

Dan D. writes:
So I'm riding the GO bus to Yorkdale on a quiet afternoon listening to my iPod, and then I hear this clicking coming from nearby. I look around and there's this guy in his early 20's hunched over in his seat. The clicking continues for a few minutes, and then I get a view of a pair of shiny nail clippers. Yep, just as I figured.

Didn't see any nails around the floor or seat when I got off, so at least the guy cleaned up after himself.

That's something one should be doing before they leave home, or at least in a public washroom.

I don't understand some people. Doesn't this fall under the category of "personal grooming" which should definitely be done in private! I can't stand it when people do it my office, but yet it continues.

There was a shout out yesterday along these same lines. Apparently the clipper was just letting the clippings fly!

I was in a class a few years ago where I had to tell the pariah to QUIT doing that. It was disgusting and we were trying to write a fake magazine article.

A fake magazine article about personal hygiene I hope?

Nah, some stupid musician. But it should have been about personal hygiene. She was nasty. And that episode was just the icing on the cake.

To me, this sound is like nails on a blackboard. I REALLY hate it. That and if the person behind you has the sniffles. I had to suppress a gag reflex several times this morning while someone's snot percolated away. I eventually offered a tissue. Please people leave the clippers and nail polish at home but bring your own kleenex!

I refer to the sniffles as "sucking the snot back into your head".

If it is trying to get out, why not assist it?

For that matter, please stay at home if you have a cold!

In the past I've been sure someone was clipping nails only to discover they were using an old Blackberry with sticky keys.
