Hey Presto, you're late!

So today, being March 1st, I logged into my account on the Presto website and clicked on the Transit Usage reports because the only thing stopping me from filing my taxes is Presto and guess what?

Nada.

Presto, Y U NO WORK FOR TAXPAYER?!

***UPDATE

According to Twitter @Prestocard, reports will be available after 7pm today.

I knew they wouldn't be ready. No surprise at all.

Ok, I thought I was going crazy today. Which really isn't different than any other day... I digress.

I signed in 3 times to check... I will have to check tonight after 7pm. They better not lie to me...

Ohhhh Bicky, you fool ;-) . . . . don't you know you will always be lied to when it's something government (or semi-governmental) related???

This behaviour is like those students in university who didn't hand in their paper during class, but to the Dept. secretary, because they got an extra 3 hours to work on it.

They have been saying for the last 2 months that the report would be available today - AND they got an extra day - yet it still wasn't enough time for them to do their freakin' jobs!

Grrrrr.... really wish I hadn't had to start using this evil thing (considering how my fare deducted this morning was 6.66).

But, but, lswgirl13, you mean I shouldn't trust the government to take care of me? Darn it... ;o)

On a more serious note, why aren't there more balance checkers at Union Station? Grrr.

Sadly, no Bicky.

And I've wondered the same thing Bicky and I've been using PRESTO for over 1 1/2 yrs. The lack of balance checkers and card swipe'y machines is ridiculous!!!

I don't understand why it wasn't avilable on Jan 2nd. They had all the infro they needed - why the delay?
I got my T4 at the end of Jan. I could have had my taxes done weeks ago, and got my transit tax credit in my bank account by now.

On the subject of Presto (misnomer): There is ONE balance checker in all of the bus terminal area (concession building) and the thing wasn't working today. I had to go into the actual Union Station to find one to check my balance.

The platform 26/27 access from the VIA Rail concourse I usually take. Surprise surprise...no machines to tap on! I'm sure it's not the only place.

They want us to switch? Install more damn machines!

Usage reports came up a little after midnight. Anyone understand how to figure out your eligible fares for tax credits? The CRA criteria is on a per-31 day basis, but the PRESTO usage report is on a per week basis which overlaps months . . .

Well got my report... now to figure out the amount to claim. Guess I'll just go with the total $ value.

@ Dan-1:

What's even worse, on the VIA concourse, there is only 1 tap on machine too! Right by Platform 8/9!

Since I’ve been using Presto, one thing has really pissed me off.

I walk south on Bay to Union. I cross Front street and instead of accessing the Concourse level at Union, I go down Teamway (West side). The trouble is, I get on the train on Track 3. I have to walk PAST the door for Track 3 in order to tap my card, then turn around and “swim upstream” to get back to the door to the stairs. I get “up close and personal” with at least one person daily during this routine. Why someone decided to put the machine there of all places, is beyond me. They have the old ticket cancelling machine inside the door to Track 3, but the presto reader is outside and past the door.

Who was in charge of this mess?

Tax credit... if in any four consective weeks you made 32 or more trips, then you can claim the tax credit for the amount spent in those four weeks.
