All that was missing was a disco ball

Monday
Richmond Hill train

The train was experiencing some electrical issues. Apparently one coach in particular had some disco strobe light action going on before most of the lights on one strip went dark and only five remained lit.
Passengers were irate because it added further insult to injury considering the fare increase which Metrolinx touted as a means to maintain and refurbish its current fleet.

Or this was just another case of YOU HAD ONE JOB.

Those flickering lights can and do make people sick. And I came across a coach with a lot of the lights off during a morning commute on the upper level. Meant to report it, but then decided it was nice. It was comforting in a way.

So what, it burnt out in service or the breaker blew, or whatever. It has nothing to do with the fare increase. Stuff breaks, it gets fixed. Given the choice between properly functioning brakes and 100% lighting, I'll take the brakes please.

If it came out of the yard that way, or is still in service next week with that same lighting issue, you have a point. Until then, give them a chance to notice the problem, or call it in to customer service with the car #, or inform the CSA. I'd be more worried about that tall guy in the green jacket than the lights.

Why is the tall guy a problem?
Is he the electrician?
