Your phone shouldn't have to ring more than twice

Ever notice the slow reflexes of some people when it comes to answering a mobile phone?

This morning, this lady's phone rang almost 8 times before she managed to answer it.

And it was a shrill ring tone. I can handle most ring tones, but this one was ridiculously sharp and loud.

If you're going to bury your phone at the bottom of a bag, turn it off.

I agree. I never understand people who act surprised their phone is ringing then can not remember where it is. I keep my phone on vibrate, this way I will not annoy others when my phone rings. I also keep my calls short and I use my library voice.

Let's explore that a little more ... why does anyone need to talk at all? Text!

Of course, there are people I can't text, like my mom who called me on FRIDAY to ask me what I was doing for my birthday on TUESDAY. Then she asked me what I was doing on the train. I told her I was shining the shoes of the dude in front of me with my tongue. What does she think I'm doing?

Birthdays are the same day every year, right? I'm positive this is how it works, but she's calling me three days before to ask me my plans? So I kept my conversation short and brief and said we could chat later. How hard is that? Even though it would have been easy to start a fight with my mom, on the phone, on the train, why?

Every morning, it seems, people on my coach are subjected to extremely personal calls. Can't some of you leave your shit at home?

Maybe I don't want to listen to music today but I sure want to read my book but it's frustrating to read the same page over and over because I'm subjected to Uncle Phil's funeral arrangements and how much of a fuss the flowers are becoming.

Who cares! Wait til the office!!!

Wow... This brings back some memories of being subjected to a one-sided phone conversation where the girl was actually crying all the way to Cooksville from Union.

Man worries of course!

And why do people have to pick the most annoying ring tones??? Just put the damn cell on vibrate, you get the call and a little pleasure at the same time!!!

Yes, today is my SPECSHUL day.
I turn 37. I feel like it, too.

For those who like family drama, my mom called me at 6:43 am this morning to wish me, in a pissy voice, a happy birthday.

37? You're a baby!!! HEY, what mom doesn't do that sappy shit? I do it to my kids, it's my God given right as the woman who gave them life to annoy them!
